Employee engagement

We have continued to evolve our approach to employee engagement and developed and launched a new people survey in this year. Its purpose is to achieve a greater understanding of employee experience to ensure Fulcrum remains a great place to work.

We have regular business-wide communications, including a monthly “Spirit” presentation led by our CEO, Martin Harrison and supported by the Executive Team. This includes quarterly “Spirit Awards” that recognise high performing individuals and teams.

Our leaders and managers play a pivotal role in employee engagement and we have invested in leadership development that is focused on ensuring our people managers have the skills and tools they need to create highly motivated, high performing and engaged teams.

Anti-slavery and human trafficking

As part of the Fulcrum Group, Dunamis has an absolute zero tolerance policy to modern slavery.

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business.

During the year, we published an anti-slavery and human trafficking statement that is available to view on the Fulcrum Investor website.

Customer service

In line with our aim of being the most trusted, we are committed to being the most customer-focused electrical infrastructure provider.

This means challenging ourselves each day to deliver for the customer and exceed their expectations.

We recognise and reward the people and teams who go above and beyond to exceed our customers’ expectations with our quarterly “Customer Champion” and annual “Customer Champion of Champions” awards.

Community and charity

In 2018, we established partnerships with Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and The Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.

These organisations were selected as our charities of 2018 by Fulcrum people and, in addition to regular funding raising activities, are supported by our “Community Spirit” initiative.

Over 240 hours of volunteering in 2018

Community Spirit is a community-volunteering scheme which sees Fulcrum people provide a range of support activities for Bluebell Wood. We have already committed to over 240 hours of volunteering in 2018.
